January 8, 2019

The Board of Directors of the Michigan Medical Group Management Association (MiMGMA) has announced that Epoxy Healthcare, LLC was awarded the contract to provide all executive and administrative management services for MiMGMA effective January 1, 2019.

Debra G. O’Shea, CMPE, of Epoxy Healthcare, LLC has been appointed the Executive Director of MiMGMA effective January 1, 2019.   Debra is a seasoned financial executive who has spent the last ten years as a healthcare executive.  Prior to founding Epoxy Healthcare in 2017, Debra held executive leadership positions with two of Chicago’s largest pediatric practices.  Debra has been a member of the Illinois Medical Group Management Association and its parent organization, the National Medical Group Management Association since 2010.  Debra was recently elected to the Board of Directors of the Greater St. Louis Medical Group Management Association.  Debra is originally from Ann Arbor, Michigan and is looking forward to taking on this new role as MiMGMA’s Executive Director.

Debra will be supported in her new role by her business partner Eric J. Brodsky, FACMPE, and Justin Pitt, Epoxy’s Project Coordinator.  Eric, who is a co-founder of Epoxy Healthcare, is also the Executive Director of Illinois MGMA and is a former healthcare executive.  Eric has been an active member of the Illinois MGMA and National Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) for many years serving in a number of volunteer capacities at both the state and national level.

“We are very excited to have Debra and her firm leading MiMGMA.  Debra’s background as a practice executive and her leadership abilities will help us to continue unite, support and educate medical practice leaders across Michigan to improve medical practice management whether they work for a private practice or within a larger healthcare system,” commented Kim Parker, President of MiMGMA.

“I am very excited about this opportunity. As a former practice executive and longtime MGMA member myself, I bring a different perspective to the management of the association.  I am excited to work with the MiMGMA board to continue to bring all of our members access to top notch medical practice education, advocacy and networking opportunities throughout the state,” stated Debra O’Shea.
