Debra O’Shea is one of the founders of Epoxy Healthcare and a seasoned healthcare and finance executive with in-depth experience in leading and improving the operations of multi-office, multi-location outpatient healthcare practices. She specializes in pediatric, Ob/GYN and family outpatient group practice operations. Debra has extensive experience in medical practice governance including establishing effective physician governance models and the evaluation of strategic alternatives for practices considering alternative ownership structures.

Combining her strong financial and operational background with executive leadership in the healthcare arena has given Debra a unique perspective on how to run a successful medical practice. Debra can see the big picture but is also a stickler for the details. She is well versed in the day to day management roles within a practice and understands the challenges your team faces because she has been there herself. She understands all the financial and operational facets of running an outpatient medical practice.  Debra has an M.B.A from Loyola University of Chicago, a bachelor’s degree in finance from Boston College and is a Certified Medical Practice Executive with MGMA. Debra lives in Cape Girardeau, Missouri area with her husband and her dog after spending over 30 years living in Chicago. Debra loves her new “life on the river” and enjoys her frequent trips to St. Louis and Chicago to serve her Midwestern clients. Marcia Powers is a Human Resources consultant with Epoxy Healthcare.  Marcia has a focus on employee relations and engagement.    She has many years of experience in Human Resources, the last 20+ years in healthcare.   In 2014, she took a brief detour from HR and became a Practice Administrator for four years with a large OB/GYN independent practice in the Chicago suburbs.  Previously, she was the Vice President of Human Resources for Norwegian American Hospital for seven years, an organization that required a complete re-design of its HR function.   She was formerly the System Director of Employee Relations and the Director for a number of the hospitals in the former Resurrection Health System, supporting a group of 5,000 employees directly.  Marcia has taught Human Resources Management at the DePaul Kellstadt Graduate School of Business and Triton College.   She earned her Bachelor’s Degree, with honors, from the University of Michigan and her Master’s Degree in Industrial Relations from Loyola University of Chicago.  She is also an employment mediator. 

Eric Brodsky is one of the founders of Epoxy Healthcare and currently serves as a revenue cycle management consultant for Epoxy Healthcare.  Eric is a seasoned healthcare executive with in-depth experience in managing the business and back office operations of multi-office, multi-location outpatient healthcare practices. He specializes in OB/Gyn group practice operations.  Eric has extensive experience in all aspects of revenue cycle management. He is a former Chief Operating Officer and information technology expert. Eric’s back office and technical strengths are instrumental in helping clients run a successful medical practice.  Eric assists clients with all types of electronic medical record systems. He is an expert in using Greenway Health’s Prime Suite platform in practice operations whether it be designing templates or streamlining business office workflows for clients.  Eric has a bachelor’s degree in speech and communications from Northeastern Illinois University and is a Fellow with the American College of Medical Practice Executives through MGMA.

Katherine Harris

Kate Harris is Epoxy Healthcare’s Association Management Specialist.   Kate main role at Epoxy is to work with Epoxy’s association management clients to provide member services, plan events and support to the association’s board of directors. Prior to joining Epoxy Kate worked for the Southeast Missouri Realtors Association and AT&T in customer service oriented positions. Kate is a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University.

 


 

 

 

 

 

 

Sheila Ryan  is an Event Management Specialist with Epoxy Healthcare.  Sheila’s main role is to help out with our MGMA events to make sure everything runs smoothly. Sheila lives in the Chicago area with her husband and has had a long career of providing logistical and administrative support to her employers and her family.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

Jake O’Shea  is an Accounting Assistant with Epoxy Healthcare.  Jake supports Epoxy’s consulting clients with accounting and bookkeeping services. Prior to joining Epoxy Jake was in school at DePaul University in Chicago.  Jake is originally from Chicago but now lives in Southeast Missouri. Jake is Debra O’Shea’s son and is happy to be part of the family business.
